Our Story

Matthew and Kelly met in high school in a small Southern California town in 2005. Matthew joined the Army in 2009 and trained in Military Intelligence before deploying twice to Afghanistan 11-12 and 13-14. In their first 6 years in the Army, Matthew and Kelly had two daughters, moved a lot and spent time apart during training and deployments. In 2015 their oldest daughter was diagnosed with Autism, and they made the family decision to change careers in the Army to something that would allow everyone to be together more often. Since 2015 Matthew has worked in Recruiting and then Recruiting Administration when their youngest daughter was also diagnosed with Autism. Matthew now runs a Recruiting office in the Southern California area.

Matthew has always enjoyed cooking at home and this grew into wanting to know how the main tool for the home chef is made.  He has spent years making knives for friends and family. He has made everything from carry knives, fillet knives, dive knives, to huge meat slicers. This variety and time have allowed him to develop a few models that address the needs of the home chef. His knives are made to be used everyday by people that feed their families and enjoy nourishing them.
